Starting a Prop Trading Business: Separate the Business from an Evaluation
Starting a prop trading business and buying a retail evaluation are different projects. Define what the business would sell, who its customers would be and what activities it would perform. An account-size advertisement cannot supply that operating model.

Name the activity before building projections
A business employing traders, a software publisher and a person purchasing an assessment have different cash flows and obligations. Write the actual activity in plain language. Obtain qualified local advice for legal, licensing and tax questions instead of treating a programme description as business-formation guidance.
HashHedge describes evaluation services and a conditional subsequent Trader relationship. Its affiliate link is not a franchise or a ready-made business purchase. No corporate status, permission to provide financial services or personal eligibility is established here.
Keep a fictional operating ledger in cash units
Suppose a teaching business has 105 units of confirmed cash receipts in a month, 80 of evaluation-related outlay and 10 of hosting cost. The illustrated cash difference is 15. A nominal 100,000-unit assessment balance does not belong in the receipt column.
If 20 of the 105 is only a requested payment, confirmed receipts are 85 and the cash difference becomes minus 5. Record the request separately. Do not count a forecast, dashboard credit or uncompleted withdrawal as a received business payment.
| Item | All receipts confirmed | 20 still only requested |
|---|---|---|
| Confirmed receipts | 105 | 85 |
| Evaluation outlay | 80 | 80 |
| Hosting outlay | 10 | 10 |
| Cash difference | 15 | −5 |
Compare periods without hiding the base
This site’s existing rebasing resource can put series on a common visual scale. Rebasing makes relative movement comparable; it does not turn a nominal account label into business assets or make missing receipts real. Keep the original cash ledger beside any chart.
Before committing money, complete the operating assumptions, costs, permissions and downside. The fictional worksheet is educational and contains no projected income. The optional HashHedge link concerns its programme only, so it cannot close the separate work of establishing a business.
